The Art of Romantic, Living Gardens

Romantic Naturalism™
Rooted in Romance. Designed as Living Communities.

If your garden feels underwhelming, overgrown or disconnected, imagine instead a space that feels immersive, abundant and alive — a garden shaped around how you live and how nature can thrive alongside you.

I design small to medium gardens across Buckinghamshire, and beyond, using Romantic Naturalism™ — blending romantic English character with modern naturalistic planting and ecological intelligence. The result is a garden that grows richer and more harmonious with time, without demanding constant maintenance.

Is This Right for You?

You might be here because:

  • You love the romance of English gardens, but want something more natural and enduring

  • Your garden feels tired or lacks structure and seasonal interest

  • You care about wildlife, but don’t want your garden to feel messy or unmanaged

  • You have a small to medium-sized garden and want to make the most of it

  • You’d like a garden that matures beautifully over time, not just on day one

If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

What Makes These Gardens Different?

At the heart of my work is planting design shaped as living communities — groups of plants chosen not only for beauty, but for how they support one another over time.

This approach creates gardens that:

  • Feel abundant yet considered

  • Offer long seasons of interest

  • Are more resilient to changing conditions

  • Support birds, bees and beneficial insects

  • Require less intervention than traditional, high-input planting

It’s romantic beauty, grounded in ecological intelligence.

A Gentle Note on Investment

Creating a romantic, living garden is an investment in a space that grows more beautiful with time.

As a guide:

  • Planting design projects typically begin from £900

  • Full garden design for small to medium gardens typically begins from £1,800

  • Many clients invest between £8,000 – £25,000+ in landscaping and planting, depending on scope

A tailored proposal is always provided following your consultation.

How We’ll Work Together

Every garden begins with listening.

We start with a complimentary consultation to explore how you want to use your space, the atmosphere you’re drawn to, and what you’d love your garden to become.

From there, I create a tailored design — from concept through to planting design — and can support you through the build and planting if you wish.

This is a guided, thoughtful process designed to feel calm and collaborative from start to finish.
